Mining Project - Complete MV MCC

4 x 1MW, 6600V, Exhaust Fans

In the last quarter of 2002, Vector Drive Systems awarded Solcon the design and assembly of the complete Exhaust Fan MV MCC for Kahama Gold Mine in Tanzania. Kahama Mining Corp. is located in eastern Tanzania, and is owned by Barrick Gold Corporation (Canada), a company with operating mines and other development projects in the U.S., Peru, Chile, Argentina, Australia and Canada.

4 Exhaust Fans

The project entailed Incoming section, with a 50KA breaking capacity, power factor capacitor section, for each of the two MCC's, 65KVA 6600V / 480V / 230V potential transformer with protection fuses, an 2 soft starters, of the "all in one" type, HRVS-DN 300-6600 (1MW) for each two exhaust fans.
